About Us                        Hannah Groves

Welcome to HG Performing Arts.  We are a Performing Arts and Dance School for children and teenagers ages 4 to 17 years - established in October 2012 by Hannah Groves.

Our weekly Performing Arts School classes are based at our fully equipped dance studio in Northgate, Crawley where our students learn the art of Musical Theatre alongside a variety of other styles including Street, Commercial Jazz, Contemporary and Modern Theatre  – making versatile performers of all of our students.

Our teachers are dedicated and experienced.  We pride ourselves on the friendly, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere created for every student – whilst maintaining a high level of discipline and professionalism.

The emphasis at HG Performing Arts is placed upon shows and performances – our focus is building upon our students’ confidence, self-esteem and developing on their individual talents.  Those that are hardworking, dedicated and enthusiastic will soon find themselves reaching their full potential as part of our elite team; embarking upon many challenging and exciting ventures.

Our next full School Show 'HEART AND SOUL' will take place at The Captiol Theatre in Horsham.

Hannah began her dance training and education at the age of four.  She studied Ballroom and Latin American for over 12 years, regularly competing and successfully completing numerous examinations with the B.A.T.D. (British Association of Teachers of Dance).  She continued her training with the I.S.T.D in Ballet, Modern and Tap.  Over the years she has performed and choreographed for many productions which have been staged both locally and in venues such as Sadler’s Wells, Her Majesty’s Theatre, the London Palladium, the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the Royal Albert Hall.  She has appeared in Pantomimes and also as a featured soloist in local productions.  Hannah is also a qualified Zumba® Zumba Kids® instructor and teaches adult and childrens' classes several times per week.  She is a competent and experienced teacher; qualified in the Promotion of Health and Safety in Dance and in Lifespan development and Learning in Dance (also insured and CRB checked).  She is extremely passionate about HG Performing Arts and continues her own development both as a dancer and as a teacher in order to maintain the school’s high standards.

‘I have ambitions and high hopes for HG Performing Arts in the coming years.  I feel all of my students should have the opportunities and experiences I did as a young dancer; giving them the guidance and confidence to pursue their own ambitions – whether it be in the Performing Arts world or simply in everyday life.’
